The Higher Physical Plane

 

According to Theosophy the Higher Physical Plane is known as the Etheric plane where our Etheric body resides. It is the first inner Spirit world. In The Spiritual Notebook the Eckankar Master Paul Twitchell I believe teaches that Alayi is the Word for the Physical Plane and the classical name is Elam. The mantra I believe for this Plane is LAM or LAMA. Ginny Katz is taught in her book Beyond the Light that; the supra-physical World [or the Higher Physical Plane is] very close to physical manifestation… Your supra-physical body resembles your physical body in every way, it lies just beyond physical sight- between the body and your astral sheath. (p261-263) The supra-physical sheath’s protection is constantly required by most individuals… The supra-physical body is formed within several weeks of Soul’s entrance into a new, infant physical form. (p264) The supra-physical world is more like the Physical World than any of the inner, non physical realms. It is so close to the Physical Plane that physical matter can move in and out of it. When you travel in the supra-physical realm the laws simply become a bit less limiting than the Physical Plane. Just like airplanes opened the skies for travel, other modes of travel will access the supra-physical realities. (p331) Taking the pure essence of our Physical body up into the Higher Physical or Etheric Plane is the first major step in the Ascension process.

Most people after death will not go to this Plane because the Etheric body generally begins to disintegrate at the death of the Physical body however this can take some time so the Theosophical Society recommends cremation as a way to speed up this process. The Etheric plane is not an Ascended Masters Octave of Light but it is still referred to as an Octave of Light. The Ascended Masters teach there will be certain ones among the I AM Students for whom at the time of passing, not otherwise being able to complete the Ascension in this embodiment, the purified essence of the Physical body will be drawn up into the Etheric body. In this way they will be permitted to make the Ascension. That assistance or gift of Love is the most magnificent thing ever offered to mankind by Life. This Assistance will make it possible for thousands and thousands in the world to be set free from the earth forever, who would otherwise require another embodiment. In all the experiences of the Ages never has such a thing been permitted by Life.
